This is a 1951 vintage travel poster, entitled “Come to Britain for Yachting’ by Arthur Burgess. The original poster was published by the Travel Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to promote Britain as a holiday destination and it was printed in Great Britain by W.S.Cowell Ltd. London & Ipswich.

Originally commissioned and published by the Travel Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, this poster is a splendid example of a series of advertising artworks designed to showcase various facets of British life. These images were skillfully crafted to beckon travelers and tourists to the shores of Britain, inviting them to explore this intriguing holiday destination.

The poster is a beautiful and colourful illustration of sailing boats on the water with hills in the background and people on a beach. Copies of this poster do come up for sale and usually command a price of around £800.

Arthur Burgess was responsible for the Come to Britain for Yachting produced in 1951.
