What started out as a bit of a hobby has turned into a really personal love of posters.
Collecting original vintage posters is not only great fun it can also be financially rewarding. For the beginner collecting relatively new film or travel posters costs are usually start out in the low hundreds of pounds. As posters get older or rarer the prices vary considerably, with many costing several thousands of pounds.

In 2012 a collector named Ralph DeLuca paid one million euros for a collection of nine, rare vintage posters. The main attraction in the auction was a rare 1927 ‘Metropolis’ poster believed to be one of just four in existence.
Whilst a great many people would love to collect original vintage posters most of us will never be able to have originals of some of the rarest and most expensive posters.
