Derry & Toms was a London department store that was founded in 1853 in Kensington High Street. The store was set up by Joseph Toms and Charles Derry. The company embraced the poster as a popular and successful method of advertising, utilising the considerable talents of many well-known artists including F. Gregory Brown, F H Warren, W.S. Bylityllis, Arabella, E L Andrews, Prebble Rayner, Leonard Richmond, J Dewar Mills and Helen Byrne Bryce. The artist responsible for this superb 1919 Winter Sales poster was Edward McKnight Kauffer.

An original copy of this Derry & Tom poster sold for £7,500 waaaayyyyy back in 2007.
