Steve McQueen, Bullitt – Italian Film Poster – 1968 Blue

This is an alternative blue version of the poster for the Steve McQueen film Bullitt, a 1968 American action thriller film, directed by Peter Yates and produced by Philip D’Antoni. The picture stars Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, and Jacqueline Bisset.  The star of the movie, a 1968 Mustang Fastback, was sold at Mecum Auctions on Friday, January 10, 2020 for a record price of $3.7 million including auction fees.

The film was made by McQueen’s Solar Productions company and was a critical and box-office smash. Bullitt is notable for its car chase scene through the streets of San Francisco, which is regarded as one of the most influential in movie history. In 2007, Bullitt was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, as “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.
