Vintage Golf Poster – Samaden 18 Hole Golf Links – 1925

This vintage Samaden Swiss golf resort travel poster was created by an unknown artist in the art nouveau style of the era. It features an elegantly dressed young couple playing a round of golf with a young caddy carrying the golf clubs. The poster reads ‘Samaden 18 Hole Golf Course. Engadine. 5670ft. Switzerland.’

The 18 Hole Golf Course at Samaden is not only the oldest golf club in Engadin, it is the second oldest golf course in Switzerland and one of the first on the European continent. The course, founded in 1893, runs along the flat valley floor in the Engadin Valley. At 5670ft the course is situated on some of the highest terrain in the country. The magnificent golf course is surrounded by ancient, links-style parkland and Upper Engadin’s breathtakingly beautiful Alpine mountains. The region is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

From being par for the course, this is a wonderful looking poster!
