New Zealand to England by the Most Direct route – Saville & Albion – c1920

This bright vintage shipping poster would certainly get itself noticed, where ever it was posted. Created in the 1920s to promote Ocen Liner cruises from New Zealand to England “by the most direct route’. It was designed for Shaw Savill & Albion Company Limited, who the poster informs, had with agents throughout New Zealand & Australia. The poster advertises the dates of both tourist and sailings as “Tourist sailings. Ionic, 3rd May. Tainui, 28th June. Tainui, 15th Nov. Cabin sailings. Tamaroa, 5th April. Mataroa, 27th May. Tamaroa, 27th Aug.” An original copy of this poster was up for sail (sorry, sale) in 2019 with a price tag of over £1500.
