This is a reproduction of a well-known Cunard Line poster. It features a stunning cross-section illustration of the Aquitania, the third of Cunard Line’s grand trio of Ocean Liners which included RMS Mauretania and RMS Lusitania. At the time Aquitania was considered one of the World’s most attractive ships. The cutaway drawing on this fantastic poster shows the luxurious ship’s interior as it appeared prior to a new deck being added in 1922.
The sectional diagram shows each level from the boiler room and stoke hole up to the boat deck and bridge. The poster shows people enjoying their cruise on the various decks. It also shows the three classes of cabin rooms available for the journey. Other visible areas of the ship include the promenade deck, garden lounge, restaurant, cabins, dining saloon, smoking room, state rooms and ballroom.
