The perfect introduction to a horror movie is when the poster reads something like  “The shrieking of mutilated victims in a black pit of horror.”  You’re hooked straight away and want to see the film.

This is a reproduction poster for the American International distributed horror film Blood Bath. The poster features several women chained to the walls of a dungeon of evil. Another women caught in a large rope net is being lowered in to bath of bubbling hot blood. The plot concerns a crazed artist who believes himself to be the reincarnation of a murderous vampire kills young women, then boils their bodies in a vat!

The film was produced by Jack Hill and Directed by Jack Hill and Stephanie Rothman. It stars  William Campbell, Marissa Mathes, Linda (Lori) Saunders, Sandra Knight, Karl Schanzer, Bill Elliot, Sid Haig and Jonathan Haze.

The film is made up of three separate films, took 7 years to make, had three  rewrites and three different directors. Another wonderfully over the top B movie from AIP (American International Pictures) with typically stunning poster artwork.
